Is there any certified free spyware removal out there?

spyware removal
Casey J asked:

I’ve read about tons of sites like download.com, bleeping computer, ccleaner, etc. But when the download file come up, it says to download at my own risk.
Also i have mcafee but the firewall been disabled by antivirus 2009 and the scan shows nothing.

and the popups are getting on my nerves

    Try Spybot Search & Destroy.

    SUPERAntiSpyware:

If its your PC warning you (and not the website), its just notifying you because the file is an .exe formated file, which is the most common files that contains virus’/trojans/spyware etc. I believe you can disable these warnings somehow via the settings of the program warning you. On the other hand if its the website telling you that downloading is at own risk, thats just another way of saying “We’re not responsible for any damage/infections (etc) done to your computer if downloading this file”, which doesnt exactly make the website a trustworthy one.

But, SUPERAntiSpyware is 100% safe and a very good program. I can also recommend Spybot S&D:

    Good luck.

un-install everything that has to do with anti-virus or any of that crap. Make sure your mcafee is working cause everything else is garbage. Most of the crap you download is just more viruses. If you need a new one go get mcafee security suite. It should be about 60 bucks.

get free but very good. tools in there that help with autofix tools. also get rid of mcafee and get AVG,
mcafee finds viruses (maybe) but doesn’t get rid of them (same as norton)

avg - “oh there’s a virus i’m going to get rid of it forever. thank you for your service…have a great day.”

Free software will only allow the downloads of spyware free stuff isn’t going to detect period, nothing honestly comes for free. Pop ups are stopped by downloading the yahoo toolbar with pop up blocker, thats 4 free and works.

  8. Malwarebytes Says:

You are infected with the Zlob Trojan.

I have a live chat feature on my website here:

I can talk you through the removal process.

  9. SP Says:
