Its always worthwhile keeping uptodate with spyware versions. Just look online - there are lots of free spyware programs to choose from. Microsoft have released their own spyware software which I believe automatically searches for new updates on it.

try a program called Smitrem for any variant of “Spy axe, spy sheriff, spy quake and alot of other’s as well. GREAT program, does an automatic lil removal in windows safe mode then cleans up your cookie crumb messes. happy hunting ; )

It is almost impossible to know about current spyware software
becuase there are tons of them invented by people. So use
good spyware guard to protect yourself like
1) Spyware Doctor
2) Ewido Anti Malware
3) AVG Anti Virus

this has been on my computer for at least a year and I haven’t had any trouble with it. It is free.
