   Spybot - Search & Destroy. It is Free and very effective. It chks for lots of spyware and destroys.

   yeah spy bot-S and D is very effective. am using it. my computer has been infected by a virus that hijack my internet explorer, when I install the Spy bot S and D, it destroyed the virus,,,you can download it for free at download.com
