Mac Users: what is a good spyware/adware removal program you use that’s free?
homegirlmar asked:
i just purchased a new macbook pro and I’m having a hard time finding free spyware/adware removal programs on the internet. Does this mean I got to find one that’s made for Mac specifically? Thanks!

I’ve never had spyware or adware problems with either of my macs so I have no idea. Try searching google or checking out the apple store website.

I’m a long-time Windows veteran who just converted, so I was suspicious. I’ve looked and looked, and even the experts insisted there’s no problem with malware on Macs. The only thing I’ve found is ClamXAV. Even their home page says, there’s no malware attacking MacOSX. All their package does is, scan your email to make sure you’re not passing malware on to your Windoze buddies.

Ditto what the others say.
I’ve had Macs for 17 years and never had a virus or adware.
And never ran an anti-virus or adware checker.
