Antivirus - BitDefender, AVG and Avast
Antispyware - Spybot Search & Distroy and Ad-Aware
be sure to run only one of each, otherwise you may have conflicts and errors.

I would download
adaware
then update the defintions
and
avast home edition for your virus check
notice both of these links are from downloads.com
both programs are freeware, and work pretty well.

i’d suggest the Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition for the virus part and the spyware terminator for the spyware part and an additional zone alarm for the all round protection part ,if you take this config you are sure to have up to date awesome protection from what not. and here are the rapidshare links to it
