SuperAntiSpyware. Way better than Spybot.
Personally, I use Linux though as it doesn’t get spyware. A much more sensible option

Spybot — free and offers auto protection and immuization from countless spyware. Way better than anything else people suggest. I have tried all of them.

recently my ocmputer got infeceted by spyware … i dunno how but i know its my bros fault lol ill just leave it at that anyways .. mcafee wasnt workin (and its subscription) , ad-aware wasnt workin, those two alone are supposed to be phenomenal … so we downloaded a free program called superantispyware .. cleaned the computer up very welll .. get it

but if you want spyware protection for free, try spybot s&d, with avast home edition running in the backround, i have done that for nearly a year, and my computer is running fine

and download Free version ( Not plus version trial) of Ad-aware2007, I been using ad-aware for years from old versions till now and always been happy with it.
If you want a free program to spped up your computer also cclaner is must and most computer publications recomend it

If you want one of the best then go for
spywareterminator,as it will give you realtime
protection which you had with CA……the others
above do not give realtime unless you purchase.
An excellent prog.. and completely FREE.
Use any of the others as a backup only.Scroll
down to very bottom of page and d/load where
it says without WEB SECURITY GUARD.
You can always try it later,its a shade fiddly.
Again this is the only one in realtime.

I wouldn’t download any free spyware (if you think about it, don’t you get spyware from the internet?). Get spysweeper from your local electronics store.
By the way, for the person who placed the first comment; Linux is only for hackers.
